Back in May 1924, Pittsburgh's Peabody High School (now Obama Academy of International Studies) erected a memorial to the students who had served during World War I. One hundred years later, the monument was reburbished and rededicated as part of a community-wide effort spearheaded by Preservation Pittsburgh. As part of that process, I researched the lives of the seventeen students whose lives were lost while serving their country. Click on the photos to read their stories.
